Listening 4個Sections的題目特點

 

IELTS 雅思Listening聽力，無論A版或GT版，試題均一樣，並分為4個sections：Section 1及2內容圍繞「生活及社會」，Section 3及4內容則圍繞「學術及世界；另外，Section 1及3都是一段對話(2-way communication) ，而Section 2及4卻是一個人的獨白(1- way presentation) 。各Section共10題，全卷共40題。可以列表如下:

By the way(順便說說/講開又講)，2-way作為Definer定語，是不用加s的，即2-ways是錯的。

Section 1我稱為「目標題」，不太須jot notes，主要是運用「靠猜10大」的【猜】技術來找答案。(之後文章會解說: 何謂【靠猜10大】?) ，有時也需要【判】斷詞類(part of speech)

Section 2-3，是由淺入深的Paraphrase題，所以技術會複雜點，用【圈、猜/判】。

Section 4是高級目標題，以圈關鍵字、【判】斷詞類part of speech為主要預聽手段。

「考試流程」解說: 如何善用解說位/停頓位增強「預聽力」

錄音開始播放，你會聽到This is the listening test of IELTS. You will hear 4 sections of recording….( 約1 min) then turn to section 1. (你要好好開始善用這1分鐘，一邊耳邊風地聽，一邊開始【Section 1及2的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判】) 。

 

SECTION1

你會鄭重地聽到’SECTION ONE’: you will hear a conversation about ‘生活與社會TOPIC’ (約20秒). You will have time to read the questions (約25秒停頓) (你要好好善用這45秒，繼續一邊耳邊風地聽，一邊開始【Section 1及2的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判】)

 

然後你會聽到Section 1的conversation了，聽到目標答案就答______(答案欄) ，不太用jot notes的。Conversation 到了一半，約填了5-6題答案(年年不同) ，你會聽到Before you hear the rest of the conversation, you will have some time to look at the question 6 to10。(約25秒停頓) (這25秒請專注在Section 1其餘Questions的預聽行動: 猜/判)

然後你繼續聽Section 1的餘段…This is the end of the section 1.You will now have half a minute to check your answer.(30秒停頓) (這30秒，因為最後會給你10分鐘check，故現在不用check的了，即做section 2的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判)

 

SECTION 2

你會鄭重地聽到’SECTION TWO’: you will hear a presentation about ‘生活與社會TOPIC’ (約20秒). You will have time to read the questions (約25秒停頓) (你要好好善用這45秒，繼續一邊耳邊風地聽，一邊開始【Section 2的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判】)

 

然後你會聽到Section 2的presentation了，因為已到達Paraphrase題，需要jot點 notes的(參後文: 如何Jot Notes?)。Presentation 到了一半，約聽了11-15題答案(年年不同) ，你會聽到Before you hear the rest of the conversation, you will have some time to look at the question 16 to20。(約35秒停頓) (這35秒請專注在Section 2其餘questions的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判)

 

然後你繼續聽Section 2的餘段…This is the end of the section 2. You will now have half a minute to check your answer.(30秒停頓) (這30秒，因為最後會給你10分鐘check，故現在不用check的了，即做section 3的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判)

 

SECTION 3

你會鄭重地聽到’SECTION THREE’: you will hear a conversation/discussing about ‘學術與世界TOPIC’ (約20秒). You will have time to read the questions (約35秒停頓) (你要好好善用這55秒，繼續一邊耳邊風地聽，一邊開始【Section 3的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判】)

 

然後你會聽到Section 3的conversation了，因為也是Paraphrase題，需要jot notes的。Conversation 到了一半，約聽了21-25題答案(年年不同) ，你會聽到Before you hear the rest of the conversation, you will have some time to look at the question 26 to30。(約35秒停頓) (這35秒請專注在Section 3其餘questions的預聽行動: 圈、猜/判)

然後你繼續聽Section 3的餘段…This is the end of the section 3. You will now have half a minute to check your answer.(30秒停頓) (這30秒，因為最後會給你10分鐘check，故現在不用check的了，即做section 4的預聽行動: 圈、判)

 

SECTION 4

你會鄭重地聽到’SECTION FOUR: you will hear a presentation about ‘學術與世界TOPIC’ (約20秒). You will have time to read the questions (約50秒停頓) (你要好好善用這70秒，繼續一邊耳邊風地聽，一邊開始【Section 4的預聽行動: 圈、判】)

 

然後你會聽到Section 4的presentation了，因為這是「高級」目標題，需要jot notes的(參後文: 如何Jot Notes?)。Section 4的Presentation是一氣呵成的，中間沒有break。

 

聽完Section 4了。This is the end of the section 4. You will now have half a minute to check your answer.(30秒停頓) ，過後又會聽到 You now have ten minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet. (這個10分鐘30秒，你可以全面地check 4個sections的答案，並抄到Answer Sheet中。

 

有關4個sections的停頓時間一覽

(不計每個Section最後都有30秒停頓)第1個Section到第3個Section的recording: 除一開始有停頓、中間也會有停頓。而第4個Section一開始有停頓，然後就一連串的播下去全無停頓。

 

Section 1-4的開始、中途停頓時間大約如下:

Section 1 to 4題目的語速、難度會隨Section的前進而加快及加難。所以，你會發現，考試給予考生的停頓時間，也會隨Section的前進而給予較多的秒數作聆聽準備。
